I have to ask myself

For once I want to be selfish

I want to dream as I deem fit

Will no one please label me

I seek my own self

I want my own company

I want to be free
Can I be me?


Free of the shackles that confine me
Can I be me?


I want to fly on a limitless sky
Can I be me?


I want to breathe in tranquility
Can I be me?


There has to be a new destiny

When I fall down

No one can pick me up,
when I fall down

No one can cheer me up.
when I am sad

I am my own best friend 
or my worst enemy

I give  the power to others
to rule over me
I portray myself and
how others perceive 
I am unique in my 

own special way
I refuse to be quiet
and speak my mind
I define the world
any way I want
I create my own heaven
and shun all hell
I dare to be bold 
without any care!

I have to stand on my feet  

Never conceding defeat
I am a force to reckon with
I am me!

Blossom despite all odds

Even when the tree is bare

And there is chill in the air

Brighten the tapestry of life

By courage and bravery

Seasons may never be beneficiary

Blossom despite the pain

Adorn the brazen branches with hope

 Starting afresh never giving up

 Adding strength  and vitality

Blossom and be bold 

Flourish against the tide 

Spread the wings and take flight

Sky is the limit go beyond its realms

Blossom and behold

Surprise the world with grace and beauty

Raise the bar to succeed

Face new challenges to lead

Blossom and stare life in the face
