Lost for ever

She came in my life out of the blue

And tiptoed quietly without a cue

I had lost all hope and got engrossed

In life's numerous chores

Forgot to feel and thought I had heeled

Mundane life was the order of the day

A clock like existence ticked away

Became a workaholic in every way

The emptiness was always there

Where she came from I do not know

Captivated by the beauty of her presence

I had completely lost life's essence

She taught me to love myself again

And touched my inner soul

Made me laugh and feel again

She was truly charismatic

Time spent with her left me elated

I was the uncrowned King of her universe

Her voice held a thousand musical notes

Her eyes shone with my image in them

She gave me inner strength

And yet her let her go

Thinking there would be many more

Why restrict myself and be confined

Why not enjoy when I still have time

Making excuses for myself

But now that she has gone

I discovered her love was indeed rare

The deafening silence is every where

I wish for her to be back

If only I could hold her now

I would cherish and love her for eternity

Alas ! if once lost there can be no second opportunity

My pride, my joy, my honour

How blessed I feel to have you.

It must have been love

There was laughter every where

My world was alight with joyous passion

I was elated most delighted at my fate

To have some one like you in my life

I must be blessed to possess your love

Mesmerised you with my charms

And found myself in your arms

So engrossed in this euphoria

I lost my self in your daze

Encircled in a never ending maze

When I did not find you by my side

I groped in every direction

There was no one in my horizon

Lost and left alone to wonder

It must have been love

For feelings of such magnitude

Are all love's attributes

The magical days spent with you

Are the treasures I shall forever keep

Memories afresh and vivid

For its better to have loved and lost

Than never to have loved at all.

Joy and love tears and sorrow

Feelings go hand in hand

Like a crisp winter morning

When the chill reaches your bones

Shuddering in ts embrace

We forget the Lords grace

And think we can bear no more

The grey weather enfolds

Leading to a beautiful spring

Blooming flowers, dancing butterflies

Busy bees with a cool breeze

Dancing in the colorful parade

We forget the grey days

Sizzling summer approaches

With fun filled trips to beaches

Lemonades and watermelon punches

Iced teas and lazy lunches

No sooner do we get accustomed

Are we greeted with autumn

Setting the stage for another act

With its own tapestry of bright yellow hues

Likewise the seasons of our feelings

Change and give life a new meaning

We flourish with each one

And learn lessons which in turn

Make our lives worth its while

We smile and laugh with happiness

Cry and dry tears in sorrow

Feel each pain to begin again

With a new vitality

And renewed strength

How hollow it would be?

If not for these seasonal feelings

The key to my heart

You hold the key to my heart

You are the one it craves

Skips a beat as you smile

And dances at your sight

You reside in its depths

And make it flutter like no other

Its devotion to you is so complete

All my arguments are overruled

I try to reason

But it won't listen

Unheard of such treason,

What am I to do if my heart obeys you

Beats aloud when you speak

Melodious words of endearment

And makes me blush a crimson red

Writes your love brazenly on my face

Makes my eyes sparkle

With a thousand beautiful dreams

Holds you high on a threshold

Behaves untamed and so bold
